Composition

The piece is built by weighing masses against voids: cropped imagery pushes into the frame from the edges while the center stays intentionally unstable. Contrast is treated as a material — hard cuts next to soft gradients, texture against flat field.

Nothing in the frame is decorative; every element either adds weight, redirects the eye, or holds a boundary. The study is about how far density can rise before order collapses.
